About the Top50 Professional & Career Women Awards
The ‘Top50’ Professional and Career Women Awards is WIM’s foremost annual event that recognizes and celebrates individual and corporate achievements of trailblazing women leaders in Sri Lanka. 2021 celebrates the 11th year of the awards since inception.
Nomination Requirements
Anyone may submit a nomination for the Top50 Awards with the candidate’s permission. Nominations must clearly document why the candidate should be considered, above all others, for this distinguished award. All nominations must contain sufficient information highlighting the individual and corporate achievements of individuals. Each nomination submitted must adhere to the following outline and page counts.
Eligibility
- Nominee should be a Sri Lankan origin
- Not an employee of WIM or a judge on the Awards Committee
- If you are competing for the individual categories for career and business award, you must hold that position for no less than 36 months or you should be operating your business for at least 36 months. WIM does not have a financial interest in your business or organization
- Not been involved in the judging of the Professional & Career Women Awards in the past three years
- Past award winners can apply. But should not be an immediate winner of last year

- Don’t undersell yourself, your business and your hard work
- Give us the truth, not just the formula
- You (the entrepreneur) are the hero/heroine of your story; tell us about your ingenuity, your insight Qualities that potential Award winners share
- The Judges look for qualities that reflect the values of the Awards

Professional Award Categories
Description
Corporates can nominate their Top women leadership (Chairperson, Managing Director, Chief Executive officer, or Board Director) to the 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th categories.
5th Category is for Male Leadership who supports Change and Diversity.
7th Category is for Sri Lankan origin women leaders who are holding citizenships in other countries.

Description
For the entrepreneur category, you will need to be operating your business for at least 12 months as of close of entries.
- Large Category – Number of Employees should be more than 200
- Medium Category – Number of Employees should be 75 – 150
- Small Category – Number of Employees should be 15 – 75
- Outstanding Woman Entrepreneur (Large)
- Outstanding Woman Entrepreneur (Medium)
- Outstanding Woman Entrepreneur (Small)
- Upcoming Woman Entrepreneur (5 Awards) North, East, South, Western, Central
Organizational Award Categories
Description
