Currently she is a consultant Speech and Language Pathologist/Therapist in Asiri Central Hospital and consult at several other hospitals and institutions. 4 Young Corporate Leader of the Year Bastiyan Koralalage Anne Manisha Sweene Rodrigo – Gampaha. Managing Director, for Bopitiya Auto Springs and Chief Executive Officer, at Bopitiya Auto Enterprises, Auto Enterprises which manufactures, Auto Enterprises which manufactures Automative Fastening and Suspension Components. Gold
5 Social Worker of the Year Balan Suthakaram – Pollonnaruwa. He was given to an orphanage by his mother when he was a student at grade 8 due to single parenting. His studies completed at the Batticaloa orphanage. He started his social service at the age of 17 as he saw how people treated orphanages in his own way and he started his own study center to provide extra education to make a change for children who has no family. He is being doing this for the past 12 years. When he started his study center those children were studying under a Boo Tree due to not having money to attend extra classes and there was 13 children and 5 teachers. Today this center has 302 children in his study center, two story building with a library and a ground. Gold
6 Arts, Music, Dancing & Theater M Takshila Nawodi Madumani Fernando – Negambo. She started Thakshila Arts Institute in 2015 as a local dance Art Institute, currently running for five consecutive years while she is attending to the University, she submitted her students in the year 2018 to Sri Lanka festival of music dance and speech competition. Her Team won the first place in the All Island. Gold
7 Young Farmer of the Year Jeinulabdeen Muhammad Azeem – Batticaloa. He lives at Eravul, an agriculture village and He is the 3rd generation. From the age of 6 years he has being involved in farming. He is a believer in non-chemical and organic farming. NYSC awarded him an Award in this year for his farming. When he was at grade 7 he introduced a system to use wastage and make fertilizer and used that to plant vegetables and fruits in his school garden Gold
8 Young TV Presenter of the Year Liyanage Kavindra Kasun Shehanka Sigera – Colombo. TV presenter at Channel Eye for Rise and Shine Morning Show and Asia Report & Compeer for Local and International events. Spearheading one of Sri Lanka’s largest youth movement i.e. Rotaract from the 1st of July 2020. Gold
9 Young Media Practitioner of the Year Pasindu Jayasinghe – Colombo. He is just 21 years old. He is the 2nd most subscribed tech blogger in Sri Lanka (www.youtube.com/slgeek) . He has almost 500,000 subscriber base. He is trying to educate Sri Lankan people about technologies, teaching different tech based things in Sinhala language. His channels are SL Geek School, Fly With Me. That’s the most subscribed aviation &YT channel in Sri Lanka about aircrafts, aviation facts and basically all the things related to the aviation. Gold
10 Entrepreneur of the Year Dulani Anjana Kulasekara – Colombo. She is an alumnus of the University of Hong Kong and a young woman entrepreneur who launched CareerMe after returning from overseas university education and employment (Singapore) in 2017 with the aim of giving back to her country. Gold
11 Tourism Awards Emadhrie Galagoda –Colombo. Jetwing Travels determined to make her hobby a part of a daily routine. Gold
12 Best Sports Woman of the Year Anjalika Kurera – Negambo. She fell in love with Tennis at the age of 8 and went to become the Junior National Champion 2 years ago. Recently she won the under (U) 18 championship beating her Indonesian opponent Jesscia Christa in the ITF Juniors Circuit 3 tournament. Gold
13 Best Sportsman of the Year Rendev N A Athukorala – Colombo. Starting karate at the age of 5 years due to a health reason called ‘ Pre diabetic’ today he is free from the condition and is a 2nd dan Black Belt karateka. He has been the Sri Lanka Schools Karate Captain (Senior and Junior Teams). Current Gold Medallion at the Sri Lanka Schools Karate Championship In the Under 19 Kumitae Category. He went on to win the South Asian Karate Championship Gold/ Silver Medal twice and then at the Asian Karate Championship was placed 4th Place. Randev was ranked globally 11th by the World Karate Federation ( WKF) – a feat only achieved by two athletes at the school level. Gold
14 Young Inspirational Youth of the Year Buthgamumudalilage Panchal Venura Kavinda Perara – Colombo. This is a child with special needs. Participated with normal children in competitions and won gold medals and certificates in the National Youth Services Council, the Western Province nominated and even won the Youth Awards in 2018. He is also a gold medalist in international competitions and has competed in international competitions in Chennai, India and Bangkok, Thailand. Gold
15 Youth Friendly Social media House Wijaya Digital Media Team – The Wijeya Digital Media team comprises of twenty-five members and is headed by Rishini Weeraratne. Twenty-three members of the team are below the age of 30 and only Rishini and one other member is above the age of 30. The team at present manages Daily Mirror Online, Lankadeepa Online, Tamil Mirror Online, WNow (Sinhala), WNow (English) and HI!! Online Gold
16 Young Activist of the year Henaka Rallage Chiranthi Thavisha Senanayake – Colombo. Youth empowerment advocates specializing in Youth Empowerment Incubation. She traveled as part of a student group to conduct self-developmental workshops for former LTTE Female Child Soldiers who were undergoing rehabilitation at a centre in Mullaitivu. She represented the Country at the GA3 Session of the UN and delivered The Youth Statement on behalf of the 04 million young people in Sri Lanka. Gold
17 Young Agro Processor of the Year Yagama Madhavi Rasangika de Silva – Madhavi de Silva is an award-winning young scientist pioneered in developing economically viable slow-release Nano fertilizer as a solution to global fertilizer distress and food insecurity contributing to the United Nations 2030 Sustainable Development Goals Gold
18 Young Pioneer Award Kurempala Ralalage Chathura Madhumali – Kanthale. He developed a walking charger. While walking customers can charge their mobile phones. He invented this to get free electricity for mobile charges. He has won national and international medals and award for these inventions. Gold
19 Judges Award Rakitha Malewana – USA. he is a Sri Lankan young scientist and youth activist. He works primarily in medical and molecular biology research. Rakitha is known for his award-winning work on HIV/AIDS which he performed when he was a high school student. This award will be collected by his mother as he is presently in USA. Gold
20 Recognition Award on Social Service Mohammed Sain Fathima Muneera – Kegalle. Since 2011 she has doing social work and as a young girl coming from a strict cultural religious and family background it has being challenging. Her passion started due to the experience she received while teaching in a nursery. Many kids shared their parent’s issues and domestic violence stories at home with her. she was able to help many married couples to re think about their family life and marriage and helped them to overcome many untold issues within them Recognition Awards (Certificate)
21 Recognition Awards in Arts, Music, Dancing & Theater Ilangaratnam Sajith – Killinochchi. He was awarded as the ” Youngest Artist” Award, and won competition in India against Arul Shri Dancing Troup. New Delhi, Rajastan & Chennai. 22 Recognition award for the Young Media Practitioner Tehani Antoinette Chandrasena – Colombo. Currently the host for the teen talk show “Tell Tehani” (Hi Online/ Daily Mirror Online) featuring young, inspiring individuals who excel in their respective fields (i.e. sports, activism, education, arts etc.). 23 Recognition Award – Entrepreneurship Hewa Thondilage Iresha Dilrukshi – Ambalanthota. As an Ayurveda medical student who has considered the excessive and inappropriate use of the chemical by human beings and harmful effects of the chemical things present in the most of the beauty products and, in other hygiene products, she decided to offer a range of 100% natural Ayurvedic products free from chemicals. 24 Recognition Award in Sports Delgaha Kotuwe Kaweesha Mihinduni Rathnayake – Alawwa. Finished third at the 2005 Asian Junior Weightlifting Championships in Malaysia, second place at the 2019 Asian Junior Weightlifting Championships in Malaysia, Also winning third place in the 2019 All Island School Weightlifting Championship.
